Personal Information – I am from Lake Lotawana, Missouri and graduated from Lee’s Summit North High School. I received my Undergraduate Degree in Biochemistry from Lindenwood University. Prior to Physician Assistant School, I gathered medical experience as an Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant, LASIK Surgery Assistant, Emergency Room Technician, EMT-B and Scribe. Building trusting and lasting relationships with my patients, coworkers, colleagues and collaborating physicians is one of my biggest goals. My hobbies include spending time with family and friends, kayaking, wakeboarding, playing softball and traveling. I am involved with the Medical Missions Foundation of Kansas City and have traveled to Africa, Romania, Ecuador and Guatemala, providing healthcare to underserved populations. Lastly, I spend some of my spare time volunteering for the Optimist Club, which is a non-profit organization benefiting the youth of our community.

Professional Areas of Interest – I enjoy taking care of families from newborn infants to older generations. I have a special interest in preventative health, general pediatrics, adolescent medicine, sports medicine, dermatology, women’s health and diabetes care.
Personal Information – I grew up in Independence, MO and enjoy living and caring for the community I grew up in. My husband Mark and I have three daughters – Ashley, Taylor and Rachel. My interests outside of medicine are spending time with my family and serving the community we live in. I enjoy serving with their parent teacher associations, supporting them in their various sports and music activities and enjoy living an active healthy lifestyle with my family. I also enjoy serving on the Child Abuse Prevention Association board of directors and as lay minister in our church.
I am passionate about athletics, and you will find me in the Kansas City area supporting our local athletes, amateur and professional. I especially enjoy the University of Missouri (Go Tigers!). I enjoy running and swimming recreationally. We also enjoy music in our family from singing to playing multiple instruments. In my spare time, I enjoy reading various genres, but especially enjoy a good mystery.
